PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS (Moscow)
- 2009
Construction company had just finished reconstruction of the building and Acoustic Group engineers were invited to assess acoustic parameters. It is an office with open space and big number of rooms separated with glass or plaster walls. There were two issues in this project: isolate offices from each other in terms of airborne noise and reduce echo effect in the open space.
Engineers measured noise level and reverberation time in the office and gave the constructing company general recommendations. Walls between offices were covered with additional acoustic panels. Walls and ceiling in the open space were covered with sound absorbing panels which convert sound energy into heat energy before it can create echo in the room.
