Industrial Premises
In the design, construction, and renovation of premises for production processes with a high level of noise, a great attention should be paid to the issues of sound and vibration insulation as well as to creating the required vibration-acoustic comfort for employees whose workplaces are in the zone of high noise and vibration.
Permissible noise levels in production are governed by the applicable Sanitary Norms. In order to link the proposed noise reduction measures and the final acoustic result, an expert - an acoustic engineer - shall be involved. This expert, based on the well-known soundproofing and acoustic properties of special structures and materials, designs a set of noise protection measures.

the maximum possible noise in the production workshops
the maximum permissible peak sound level
the maximum permissible vibration at workplaces
Issues of Sound and Vibration Insulation in Industrial Premises:

- Soundproofing of "noisy" production halls from other rooms (workshops "quiet" processes, utility, and administrative premises). For this purpose, between them and "noisy" premises, vibration insulation of floors, sound insulation of walls and partitions, sound insulation of ceilings and floors shall be provided.
- Local sound and vibration insulation of production equipment: provision of vibration insulation for foundations and bases of aggregates, construction of noise protection covers and fences. This method of reducing noise from the equipment is most effective in terms of sound insulation; however, it is not always possible due to technological production processes that limit the creation of hermetic soundproof structures.
- Reducing the noise in production workshops using shielding and sound absorption methods. This sound insulation method in production workshops is limited to 10 dB efficiency, but it is most convenient in terms of compliance with the production technology requirements.
Acoustic Group recommendations
For the design of sound insulation between the production and neighboring rooms, the techniques given in this album are used.
