Shumostop-S2 is one of the most efficient materials for use as an elastic layer in the construction of a ‘floating’ floor. Its noise reduction index is 38 dB when laid in a single layer. This sound insulation is sufficient to ensure that the fall of heavy objects does not cause discomfort in the room downstairs.

The boards are designed to create an elastic sound insulation layer between reinforced concrete floors and reinforced screed. It is recommended to combine two brands of Shumostop for the floor arrangement work as follows: K2 - as a cushioning material around the perimeter of the room and in the locations of expansion joints, and S2 - as the main layer covering the floor structure.
